Art Studio Opening

Getting this space set up was a big project and I was so exited to create some new work and put it on display. One of my favorite new pieces was this drawing of Christ I created for my studio opening. This piece was the inspiration for my "He is the Light" collection. I had some specific attributes in mind for my drawing and I took inspiration from a variety of my favorite artist renditions and images of christ. I also wrote this peom to go with my drawing.

He is the Light

A guide to lead me

On a path I often cannot see

A way to come on home

Even when I try to walk alone

It’s Thy rays that shine through

You’re the light that allows me to become new

There are two rooms in my new art studio. A front display area where I have my most current work and a back room where I have my painting easel and desk set up.
